薪窯で焼成した、一点もののタンブラーです。
こちらのタンブラーは生地に備前の土が使われており、備前特有の落ち着いた風合いが特徴です。
備前の土は温度が高すぎるとブツブツと生地が吹き出してしまい、焼成が難しい土です。
このタンブラーは備前の穏やかな土味もさながら、自然釉による「胡麻」という表情も現れており、かなり上手く焼成できました。
細身の形状がスタイリッシュで、手のひらにしっとりと馴染みます。
ほのかな削り模様の手仕事が備前の風情をより格別なものにしてくれています。
温かいコーヒー、お茶はもちろんですが、氷をたっぷり入れていただいて冷たいグラスとしてもお使いいただけます。
また、焼き締め特有の生地により、ビールの泡がきめ細かくクリーミーになりますので
ビールがお好きな方はぜひタンブラーを冷やしてビアグラスとしてお使いいただきたいです。

■ピンホールが見受けられることがあります。

■シミやカビなど汚れがつきにくいです。
■テーブルなどに置いた際、ご使用上には問題ない程度のがたつきが見られる場合がございます。
■使用過程で貫入（表面釉薬の亀裂）が入ることがありますが、ヒビや破損ではないため、使用に支障はありません。
■できる限り自然な作りを目指しているため、細かいざらつきを感じることがありますが、問題なくご使用いただけます。

This is a one-of-a-kind tumbler, wood-fired in a traditional kiln.
The clay used for this piece is Bizen clay, known for its naturally subdued and earthy character.
Bizen clay is notoriously difficult to fire, as it can blister when exposed to excessively high temperatures.
In this piece, however, the firing was especially successful—
alongside the gentle texture of the clay, you can see the natural ash effect known as “goma,”
created as ash settles and melts onto the surface during the firing.
The slender, refined form gives it a clean and stylish presence, while fitting comfortably in the hand.
Subtle carved textures further enhance the quiet elegance characteristic of Bizen ware.
It is suitable for hot beverages such as coffee and tea,
and can also be used as a glass for cold drinks with ice.
Due to the unglazed, high-fired surface typical of this style, it also produces a fine, creamy foam when used for beer—
we recommend chilling the tumbler and enjoying it as a beer glass.
